ContactClean - Address Book Cleanup & Repair App Reviews

I had several thousand duplicates, so had to run the app about five times, but only took 10 minutes.

The major strength of the App is that it gives you a side-by-side comparison so should make sure whatever merges you are doing is correct. It even allows you to pick which information to keep (or not) when merging 2 different contact records. The inclusion of the photo ;if any exist) makes the process even easier. The weakness is in finding potential candidates for merging or deletion. It only allows me to search on one of three fields; name, phone OR email. Multifield searches are not allowed. There is no "skip" feature. A few other basic capabilities they simply missed. I have no way to explain why. So my conclusion is that its okay and it is been helpful to me for merges but it would be great if the product more sophisticated

Awful doesnt work even if you buy it

It cleans up and then wants to charge? Why not do a partial clean to demonstrate its ability and then ask for upgrade?! Limited filtering options kills the interest for me. I will keep looking for something with more functionality before buying. Thanks for nothing, :-(

Did not clean up anything. I can open my contacts and stare right at the duplicate entries, and then open this app and try to use the clean up tool, and it will say there is nothing to fix.

This app is awful, does not work - total fail! Do not buy!!!!

It analyzes your contacts and then when its time to do the cleaning and merging, it tries to hit you up for $2.00 or else it does not proceed.

NO WHERE in the description of this app does it say you have to pay $1.99 to get all the features. Well, you do. It merged my contacts together and deleted 1. Everything else you have to pay for.

Use other better apps. This sort of works but is frustrating and doesnt find everything. Look elsewhere.

This app wiped my most important contacts with all the detailed information I need to live and take care of my family. Thanks a lot!

Except for backup, I feel the system may be destroying info rather than making efficiencies.

Cost 1.99 but worth it
